KPI arrests a police officer suspected of threat and causing grievous bodily harm

Investigators of the Kosovo Police Inspectorate (KPI) have arrested a police officer in Peja on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "Serious Bodily Injury" and "Threat". The first information the KPI investigators regarding this case had received from the Kosovo Police in Peja "that a police officer (with the rank of sergeant) off duty is involved as a suspect in a case of serious bodily injury" , it is said in a press release. KPI investigators went to the scene and in coordination with the prosecutor undertook several investigative actions and the victim (police officer) was sent for medical treatment. Following these investigative actions, the police officer was remanded in custody for 48 hours by a decision of the prosecutor on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of "Serious Bodily Injury" and "Threat".
