Prime Minister in office, Albin Kurti, has spoken about the allocation of 2 million euros for subsidising airline routes, saying that this is not related to the month of June but to the entire summer season.
Kurti said that if they had a parliament, they would act differently, but according to him, since there is no parliament, they are acting with whatever they can.
“Regarding the allocation of budget funds of 2 million euros, I have already explained this in a text on my Facebook page yesterday afternoon. I would encourage everyone who has doubts to read or re-read it. Everything is in service of the citizens and it is about covering an unusual situation that other countries are also dealing with. It is not about the month of June but about the entire summer season, until the end of October. So, we would act differently if we had a parliament; since we do not have a parliament, we act with what we can and what we know, and we believe we are doing very well,” Kurti told KosovaPress.Kurti added that they are trying to do what is possible so that the citizens of the country, facing increased needs on the one hand and reasonable expectations on the other, are supported.
“You all know that we had planned to implement the Inflation Relief Package 2.0, but this was not made possible because early elections were triggered, unnecessary elections, as there was an opposition blockade regarding the issue of electing the president. And now we are trying to do what is possible so that the citizens of the Republic, facing increased needs on the one hand and reasonable expectations on the other, are supported,” Kurti said.
