Kosovo's Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning has installed new street name signs in North Mitrovica this Wednesday. However, the mayor of the municipality, Milan Radojevic from the Serb List, immediately covered them.

Although the decision to change the names of 87 streets in the municipality was approved on August 25, 2025, Radojevic claimed that the move is illegal.

At the roundabout at the entrance of North Mitrovica, signs with the names “Zoran Dindic” and “Isa Boletini” were installed, and it was reported that the Minister Fitore Pacolli was also present, stating that citizens had been informed about the process. KosovaPress attempted to obtain a comment from Minister Pacolli, but no response was received until the publication of the report.

Later, Kosovo Police officers also arrived at the scene and removed the covers from the newly installed signs.

It is worth noting that at the time when the decision to rename the streets was made, North Mitrovica was governed by the Vetëvendosje Movement, while the Serb List returned to power at the end of last year.
