Kosovo's Central Election Commission (CEC) is expected to complete the counting of all ballots cast via postal voting during the middle of the week.

This was stated by CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi for KosovaPress, who said that after this process is completed, the counting of conditional ballots and votes from persons with special needs will begin.

Finally, after the completion of all counting processes, the CEC will conduct a recount of up to 10% of regular polling stations, whose ballots were previously counted at Municipal Counting Centers.

According to him, while the counting of these ballots is being finalized, the CEC will prepare for the counting of conditional votes and votes from persons with special needs.

Once the counting of all ballots is completed, the CEC will not proceed with the announcement of the final election results.

Before the process is completed, the CEC will decide on a recount of up to 10% of regular polling stations, whose ballots were previously counted in 38 Municipal Counting Centers.

The CEC has also taken additional measures to ensure greater security in the vote-counting process.

At each counting table, which consists of four members, there are now two monitors instead of one as in previous elections. This has been done so that everyone can see the ballot counting on screen and the recording of results in the system.
