Kosovo’s acting president calls on diaspora to register for June 7 elections
Acting President Albulena Haxhiu has called on the diaspora to register to vote from outside Kosovo in the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.
In a video address, she said that citizens living abroad should take part in decision-making in the country.
“Register to vote. You have stood by Kosovo even when borders, violence, and distance have tried to keep you away. You have worked and sacrificed to help our homeland. You have been the voice of Kosovo everywhere in the world, and you continue your contribution to the Republic of Kosovo. Become part of decision-making,” she said.
Starting today, May 6, the application period has opened for citizens who wish to register to vote from abroad in the parliamentary elections on June 7. This deadline will last until May 17.
