A group of Serbian residents from the village of Prilluzhë in Kosovo protested on Monday morning in front of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia, demanding justice regarding what they described as irregular hiring practices through competitions in the healthcare sector. According to them, even in the latest competition, priority was given to candidates with requalification, compared to those who were formally educated. They also emphasized that, once again, social status, specifically the “social card,” was not taken into account when evaluating applicants.

The residents called for a review of hiring procedures and for transparency in the selection of candidates, stating that they would continue to seek institutional solutions to this issue.

“From Prilluzhë, this morning, they arrived in front of the Office for Kosovo in Belgrade to seek justice due to irregular hiring practices in competitions for jobs in the healthcare sector, where again priority was given to candidates with requalification compared to those formally educated, and once again social status (social card) was not taken into consideration,” reads the caption published on the social media page of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia.

It is worth noting that Serbia illegally opened competitions in Kosovo last year within parallel institutions during the election campaign. It has been criticized for interfering with Serbs in Kosovo, with security experts stating that Serbia is attempting to influence Serbian citizens to support the Serbian List.
