As part of ongoing cooperation, the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, hosted a meeting with the Deputy Adjutant General and Commander of the Air National Guard of the Iowa National Guard, Brigadier General Mark A. Muckey, and his staff.
According to the statement, General Jashari thanked General Muckey for the Iowa National Guard’s continuous support in the development and enhancement of the Kosovo Security Force’s capabilities, describing it as a “success story” of this type of partnership. LTG Jashari also briefed him on the current developments within the KSF and its important role in ensuring security in the country, highlighting its significant contribution to maintaining regional stability.
“During the meeting, both generals assessed the significant progress achieved by the KSF in developing, modernizing, and advancing its operational capabilities. They also expressed high appreciation for the professionalism, performance, and high level of interoperability demonstrated by personnel during joint activities and exercises,” the statement said.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the generals reaffirmed their commitment to further advancing and deepening cooperation between the Kosovo Security Force and the Iowa National Guard, describing it as a partnership of special strategic importance. In this context, strengthening the defense capabilities of the Republic of Kosovo was assessed as a key factor in ensuring security, stability, and lasting peace in the region.
