Kosovo risks being affected by the fourth wave of COVID-19, experts call for institutional vigilance

According to the WHO, Europe is again the epicenter of the pandemic, with a 55 percent increase in cases in the last 4 weeks. Kosovo is currently in a calm pandemic situation, but the surrounding countries count hundreds of thousands of daily cases of COVID-19. Health experts demand more rigorous implementation of measures and vigilance by institutions as the end of December may find our country in the fourth wave of COVID.

The President of the Trade Union Health Federation of Kosovo, Blerim Syla, said that the election campaign for the second round of local elections and non-compliance with anti-COVID measures could make the country face another wave of infections in late December or January...
