Members of the Assembly of Kosovo began the plenary session with a minute of silence in honour of the victims of the Poklek and Çikatovë e Vjetër massacres.

The request was made by the Democratic League of Kosovo MP Ganimete Musliu.

Earlier, the chair of the session, Ardian Gola, expressed condolences on behalf of the Assembly for the tragic passing of three victims in Malishevë.

During today’s session, the Assembly is expected to review several important draft laws, including the one on the Bureau for the confiscation of unjustified assets.

Today marks 27 years since the massacre in the villages of Poklek i Vjetër and Çikatovë e Vjetër, in the municipality of Drenas, where Serbian forces massacred, killed, and then burned the bodies of 77 unarmed Albanian civilians, including infants.
