Kosovo and Albanian police start joint patrols

Kosovo Police and Albanian Traffic Police from today have started joint patrols, in the framework of the memorandum of cooperation between the two countries. A team of traffic police officers from the Kosovo Police have already started patrolling the territory of Albania. Representatives of the Police of both countries were told that this cooperation has brought positive results over the years in reducing accidents, and such a thing was said to be expected this year as well. The Director of the Road Traffic Division of the Kosovo Police, Lieutenant Colonel Jeton Rexhepi, said that they have appointed four police officers with two patrol vehicles that will be on the roads of Albania. He said that they will not be on the streets to impose fines but to help the citizens, he also said that they will not tolerate the violation of traffic rules.
