Kosovo and Albania together in the fight against crime, ready for regional cooperation

The State Prosecution of Kosovo and the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Albania have signed today a memorandum of understanding to fight organized crime, corruption, money laundering, terrorism and other criminal offenses. The agreement was signed by the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi, and the Head of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Albania (SPAK), Arben Kraja, where they showed readiness to expand regional cooperation. Chief State Prosecutor Aleksandër Lumezi said that this agreement will contribute to the visa liberalization process for Kosovo and the European integration of both countries. He announced that through this memorandum they aim to increase cooperation with Albania to fight negative phenomena such as organized crime, corruption, terrorism and other forms of crime.
