Luana Bajrami made history last night at the Academy Awards, KosovaPress reports.

Born in Ferizaj, she has become the first actress from Kosovo to share in the most prestigious award in the world of cinematography, as the short film Two People Exchanging Saliva, in which she plays a role, won an Oscar in its respective category.

During the acceptance speech, the film’s directors also highlighted the Kosovar origin of one of the protagonists, Luana Bajrami.

Just a few months ago, Luana also drew attention with the film Vie Privée, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
