Since May, senior and junior members of the Kosova Cyber Team have been receiving professional training, and starting in August, they will begin intensive preparations.
Professor Blerim Rexha from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Prishtina told KosovaPress that the representatives were selected through a careful process of selection and training.
Rexha also outlined the challenges Kosovo’s team will face.Furthermore, Professor Rexha stated that although the competition is very challenging and similar to international assessments like PISA, Kosovo has made solid preparations and expects a dignified performance.
One of the team representatives is Diella Kika, a third-year student at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Kika expressed her dedication and the path she followed to become part of this team.She also shared her experience in other competitions, such as representing Kosovo in the European team at an Asian competition and at Iowa State University.
The European Cyber Security Challenge is an annual international event initiated by ENISA – the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity. It brings together outstanding European talent in cybersecurity up to the age of 25, without excluding other international ‘guest’ countries. /A. Shala/
