On the occasion of June 1 - International Children's Day, KOMF wished all children a healthy and happy childhood. According to KOMF, the children's rights in Kosovo continue to be violated. "The data show a serious state of well-being of children, especially vulnerable children. 22.8% of children live in poverty while 7.2% of them live in extreme poverty. 72% of children are reported to be disciplined with violence (psychological pressure and / or corporal punishment). 5% of children work. Only 15% of children aged 3-4 attend early childhood education programs. 8% of children aged 7-12 years have been reported to have functional difficulties in at least one area. Only 38% of children living in communities have been fully vaccinated," the press release said. KOMF stressed that only 1% of the total central budget is allocated for social services. Providers of social services for child protection consistently risk closure of services due to lack of sustainable funding.
