The NATO mission in Kosovo, KFOR, is investigating Sunday's explosions that occurred near its patrol in Zubin Potok, which it has called an "indirect fire incident".

"KFOR is investigating an indirect fire incident on December 25 in the vicinity of a NATO KFOR patrol. Unknown armed persons were involved in the incident in the area of Zubin Potok", the announcement states.

Meanwhile, KFOR has previously confirmed the explosions in the vicinity of its patrol, and announced that there were no casualties nor material damage and that they are working on to clarify all the facts.

"It is important that all those involved, avoid any rhetoric or actions that could cause tensions and escalate the situation", said KFOR.
