KEDS electricity meters under investigation amid suspicions of inaccurate measurements
The Basic Prosecution Office in Prishtina has announced that, regarding suspicions of irregularities in the electricity meters of KEDS, the Kosovo Police have been authorized to collect information and carry out investigative actions.
According to the prosecution, there are suspicions that the electricity meters may not be accurately measuring consumed energy, raising concerns about possible misuse.
In this regard, the case is being investigated on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Fraud,” under Article 323 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
The State Prosecutor’s Office stated, through a press release, that it has authorized the police to undertake all necessary investigative measures to secure additional evidence, including actions involving KEDS officials.
