The Prishtina Outdoor Festival has begun its three-day program as part of “Prishtina–Gollak 2026,” bringing together a large number of citizens in an event promoting healthy living, outdoor activities, and recreation.

The Director of Culture in the Municipality of Prishtina, Isah Mustafa, said the municipality will continue its cooperation in the future, stressing that the festival enjoys strong public interest.

Organiser and representative of the Alpine Club, Kristian Gashi, outlined the activities planned under the Prishtina Outdoor Festival and the challenges of organising the event.

“The festival started today with children’s activities, a light run from Kino ABC to here. We will continue with various activities: urban climbing, tomorrow we have running, kayaking, yoga, camping and many other activities. There are around 25 activities in total, held in Prishtina and the Prishtina region, in Gollak, across the whole Gollak area. The aim of the festival is a healthy lifestyle, to have an impact on mental and physical health, as you can see here children enjoying together with many nature-based activities. The organisation is under the patronage of the Municipality of Prishtina and with the support of many other sponsors. There are activities tonight as well, there is music. We already had some activities here, as you can see, and now we continue with the guitar competition. Late in the evening there will be live music. Tomorrow we start from the morning with many activities, including kayaking at Badovc Lake, where anyone who wants to try kayaking for free has to collect a certain amount of waste. Then we have camping where we go, sleep in tents, night sky exploration, archery, paragliding, and horse riding tomorrow. On Sunday we have cycling, which starts from this location,” Gashi said.
