On the occasion of Children’s Day – June 1, tree planting activities were organized by children in Prishtina, Fushë Kosova, and Drenas. These activities were made possible with the support of the company “Al Trade,” which has been carrying out such initiatives for many years, reports KosovaPress.

Artan Rama from the company said they will continue with such activities, as well as others, with the aim of contributing to a better future for the country.

“The three municipalities where we operate — meaning the Municipal Assembly of Prishtina, the Municipal Assembly of Fushë Kosova, and the Municipal Assembly of Drenas — together with us implement this activity. This traditional activity is not the only one; we also have other initiatives that we traditionally organize together with the community. This activity will not be the last, and we will continue to contribute to the community with the sole purpose of ensuring a better future for us all,” he said.

In Drenas, the activity began in the city square, where 10 students planted saplings.

Director of Education in Drenas, Muhamet Gjoka, said the activity is symbolic for environmental protection.

“On the occasion of June 1 – Children’s Day, we carried out an activity of planting several saplings. This is already a traditional activity supported by Al Trade. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the company Al Trade for its continuous support, not only for this activity but also for its ongoing contribution to the citizens of the municipality of Drenas. Today we had 10 children involved in planting ornamental trees. This is a symbol of environmental protection. I also wish all children a happy June 1, Children’s Day,” he said.

In Fushë Kosova, the activity continued at the “Mihal Grameno” school, where children also took part in this symbolic initiative.

The school director, Ismet Gashi, wished the children a happy Children’s Day and highlighted the message conveyed through this activity.

In this municipality, “Mihal Grameno” School Annex 2 also presented a certificate of appreciation to the company “Al Trade” for its support and donations to the educational institution.

Meanwhile, in the capital, the activity was held at the new park in Arbëri, where children also expressed their willingness to contribute to green spaces.

On this occasion, the Director of Parks and Public Spaces in Prishtina, Albana Gjonbalaj, called on other companies to follow the example of “Al Trade” by supporting the municipality and citizens in the development and maintenance of green areas.

Calls continue for the creation of more green spaces and cleaner environments.
