For the first time in Kosovo today the biggest European event in the sport of judo will take place.
In the Palace of Youth and Sports in Pristina, the European Judo Championship will be held, gathering the elite judokas of this sport in Europe.
This will be the first time that judokas Distria Krasniqi and Nora Gjakova, as well as Akil Gjakova and Dardan Cena will seek elite European medals in their country after many successes of winning European and world medals, KosovaPress reports.
The 73 kg category will be filled with the biggest names in the judo world.
World No. 1 Azeri Hajdarov, judo legend Olympic Champion Shavdatuashvili, current World runner-up Italian Lombardo and others.
In the women's category up to 57 kg, in addition to the two Kosovar Olympic Champions, many World and European medalists will also participate from the World Elite.
