The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) has suspended the judge of the Basic Court in Peja, Florije Zatriqi, who sentenced to 8 months and 8 days in prison the person who raped a 15-year-old. This was announced by the Kosovo Judicial Council through a press release. The case for which this sentence was imposed, according to the indictment, took place in January 2021. After the publication of Judge Zatriqi's decision, numerous reactions were made, even institutional reactions. The reaction of the Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu was immediate, and then of the Chief State Prosecutor, Aleksandër Lumezi and the Judicial Council.
