The initial hearing has begun at the Special Department of the Basic Court of Prishtina against 53 accused individuals for the Meja Massacre, who are currently at large.

The main suspect is Momir Stojanović, former head of the Security Department in the Command of the Prishtina Corps, who also served as director of the Military Security Agency of Serbia.

The Special Prosecution accuses them of war crimes against the civilian population, having killed 370 Albanian civilians.

The Special Prosecution of Kosovo filed the indictment for the Meja massacre in December 2023, which was later supplemented in April 2024.
