The Acting Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Hajrulla Çeku, has announced that the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina will undergo a complete renovation worth €50 million, as part of preparations for the Mediterranean Games. The investment also includes the burned hall, aiming at the full functional restoration of the facility to serve the country’s athletes, artists, and young people.

“€50 million for the Palace of Youth in Prishtina. A total renovation, including the burned hall, in preparation for the Mediterranean Games and in the service of our athletes, artists, and youth,” Çeku stated.

He said that, based on an agreement with the European Investment Bank, design studios have already been engaged to draft the revitalization project for the Palace—an essential step toward the start of construction works.

According to the acting minister, local and international professional expertise has been brought together to develop a model for the modernization and full functionalization of this iconic building of the capital. “We are creating a new model for the Palace of Youth that meets contemporary needs and restores this facility to the role it deserves in the country’s sporting, cultural, and youth life,” Çeku wrote on Facebook.
