In 2020, medicines worth about 90 million euros were imported
57 new pharmaceutical pharmacies have opened since the beginning of the pandemic in Kosovo. Meanwhile, five pharmaceutical pharmacies have closed during this period. During the pandemic year, there was an increase in imports of pharmaceutical drugs and disinfectant products, in Kosovo. About 90 million euros was the value of imports of medicines during 2020. The import of these products has increased compared to 2019, there has also been an increase in imports for disinfectant products.
The use of medicine has increased during 2020, also known as the pandemic year, while there have opened many new pharmaceutical pharmacies.
