The Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Imri Demelezi, has filed a civil defamation lawsuit against the LDK candidate for mayor of Viti, Sokol Haliti, in the Basic Court in Viti. While the latter is considering such a move by Demelezi tendentious and deliberate. The discord between these two parties began with the memorandum of cooperation signed between MAFRD and the municipalities of Viti, Vushtrri and Peja, for irrigation of agricultural lands. Deputy Minister Demelezi told the media that Haliti for electoral purposes is aiming to harm certain personalities of the Vetëvendosje Movement and the government.
