The Independent Media Commission (IMC) has assumed the presidency of the Mediterranean Network of Regulatory Authorities (MNRA), becoming the host of the 24th Plenary Assembly of this network, taking place on October 2–3 in Prishtina.

The chairman of the IMC, Besnik Berisha, took over the MNRA Presidency from his Armenian counterpart, Higran Hakobyan, placing Kosovo at the center of regional dialogue and cooperation in the field of media regulation.

On this occasion, Berisha stated that the Commission must broaden its perspectives.

According to him, the main task is strengthening the independence of the regulator.

The conference is being attended by regulatory authorities from the Mediterranean region, along with journalists, academics, psychologists, and representatives of civil society.
