The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, has encouraged all Serbian citizens who have illegal license plates to register their vehicles at registration centers, so as not to remain hostage to politics.

Svecla has called on all citizens who own vehicles with illegal license plates 'PR', 'KM', 'PZ', 'GL', 'UR', 'PE', 'DA' or 'ĐA' from June 10 from 1999 until April 21, 2022, to register their vehicles with RKS license plates, to successfully complete this process which, as he said, directly contributes to public safety, traffic safety and the return of legality to the country.

"I encourage citizens not to remain hostage to political interests and criminal groups, but to use all facilities and register their means at all Registration Centers, regardless of residence or location. The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is committed to providing security and rule of law throughout the country and for all its citizens without distinction", he wrote on Facebook.
