Bone remains suspected to belong to a person missing during the last war in Kosovo have been found during excavations in Rahovec.

The remains have been sent for examination to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, while investigations are ongoing.

“Rahovec / 25.03.2026 – NN. Competent police units and relevant institutions have continued work at the specified location, and during excavations bone remains were found, which are suspected to belong to at least one individual/person who is listed as forcibly disappeared during the last war in Kosovo 1998–1999. The bone remains have been sent to the IML for forensic medical examination,” the Kosovo Police report states.
