How much electricity does Kosovo import and export?

Electricity imports in December 2024 were 475.35 GWh, while electricity exports in the same period were 144.35 GWh. (This also includes the amount of transmission).

According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, during December last year, gross available electricity was 899.56 GWh, while electricity consumption was 637.06 GWh or 4.75 percent higher than the same month of the previous year. According to the Kosovo Agency of Statistics, the share of alternative electricity in total consumption was 7.86 percent.

“Coal production was about 783.53 thousand tons or 8.74% more than in the same month of the previous year (December 2023),” says the latest ASK report.
