Heads of state pay respects at the graves of Rugova and Demaci

On the 15th birthday anniversary of Kosovo's independence, the heads of state and the president of Albania, Bajram Begaj, paid their respects to the grave of the former president, Ibrahim Rugova.

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, along with the Albanian President, Bajram Begaj, have continued to pay their respects to the grave of Adem Demaçi.

To mark the 15th anniversary of Kosovo's independence, the Government of Kosovo has organized a series of activities. After the festive meeting of the Government, the solemn raising of the Flag of the Republic of Kosovo took place. The heads of state also paid homage to the Monument of the Missing. Meanwhile, homages have also been planned to be paid at the "Adem Jashari" Memorial Complex, in Prekaz.

In honor of the 15th anniversary of independence, the soldiers of the Kosovo Security Force and the Kosovo Police will parade in the squares of Pristina.

In addition to the solemn session of the Council of Kosovo, at 17:00, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has organized a state reception.

We recall that on February 17, 2008, at 15:39, the independence of Kosovo was declared in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo. The declaration of independence was made by the prime minister at the time, Hashim Thaçi.
