At the year-end conference, the mayor of Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri, thanked the health professionals, for whom he said that they saved thousands of lives.

"2020 has been an extraordinary year that had a pandemic effect. We have lost 96 citizens, but thousands of lives have been saved. On this day, I would like to thank the health professionals for their professional courage and dedication in preventing the spread of the virus, and saved thousands of lives. Grateful forever", said Haziri at the last press conference for 2020.
