AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj has called Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti a “liar,” adding that he is “feeding dogs to insult Albanians.”

These statements from the parliamentary floor were made after Kurti’s remarks, in which the Prime Minister accused media reports of “cash-stuffed bags” being a direct threat to the integrity of public debate.

Haradinaj was also involved in a confrontation with members of the government cabinet and MPs from the ruling majority, with his microphone temporarily turned off during the session.

“Today a liar came before us with an ideal lie. And I am telling you that we were deceived... Please, a lie is not an insult, a deception happened, here in this chamber, and I want to expose this deception in the worst possible way. First, the colleague who spoke before me here has been in power for years, he bears responsibility for prices, he bears responsibility for the thefts happening in energy, for the bills we are receiving, he and his government bear responsibility and you cannot escape this responsibility in any way. You cannot hide behind this price cap law or anything else, your oligarchs, Prime Minister, are selling and buying energy and companies linked to your close associates are increasing day by day. There must be correctness in this case,” he said.

Haradinaj continued by saying that Kurti “spends the most money feeding dogs to insult Albanians.” After these words, his microphone was turned off.

With his microphone muted, he continued his confrontation with members of the government cabinet, where he is heard saying that “lies are not allowed in the parliamentary floor.”

“Secondly, he says ‘media are being financed with bags of money’, listen to what he is saying, listen carefully to what he is saying: ‘media are being financed with bags of money’. He spends the most money feeding dogs to insult Albanians, pages of dogs who continue to do so even today, and those who defend him are also those dogs,” Haradinaj added.

As he continued speaking with his microphone turned off, Minister Albulena Haxhiu said Haradinaj had violated the rules of procedure by using insulting language.
