Haradinaj: The electoral process is going well across the country, turnout is satisfactory
The Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, stated that the electoral process is proceeding well across the country and that voter turnout is satisfactory.
He emphasized that by 3:00 p.m., over 500,000 citizens had exercised their right to vote, with less than three hours remaining until the polling stations close.
Haradinaj called on all citizens who have not yet voted to exercise their right, making a special appeal to diaspora voters and women to participate so that their voices are heard.
However, Haradinaj expressed concern about power outages, especially as evening approaches, urging KEDS and relevant institutions to ensure that electricity is not interrupted.
“The electoral process is going well across the country, and turnout is satisfactory. By 3:00 p.m., over 500,000 citizens have voted. Less than three hours remain, and I also have the pleasure to invite everyone to exercise their right to vote, those who have not yet voted, all citizens of the country, brothers and sisters who have come from the diaspora, and you voters, especially women, to go and vote, to represent yourselves at the ballot box so that your voice is heard. We have not observed any irregularities and are satisfied with the turnout. I am aware that there have been power outages, which concerns us if they occur now as it gets dark. I call on KEDS and all institutions to ensure electricity is not interrupted. I wish Kosovo a very good election day,” Haradinaj stated.
According to data from the Central Election Commission, by 3:00 p.m., 573,694 voters had cast their ballots, representing 28.70% of 1,999,204 eligible voters.
At the same time in the Kosovo Assembly elections held on February 9, 2025, based on data from around 91% of polling stations, 28.32% or 558,246 voters had voted.
