Hysni Gucati's defense in The Hague, lawyer Jonathan Elystan Rees said that the Specialist Prosecutor is selecting the persons, who according to him, have the right to enjoy freedom of expression. According to him, Gucati does not seem to be one of those persons on the list of specialist prosecutors. In his opening statement, Gucati's defense said that the latter's statements about the Special Court are part of his freedom of expression, which the state of Kosovo guarantees to every citizen.
