Albania’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Petrit Malaj, paid tribute to the life and work of academic Rexhep Qosja during an institutional commemoration organized by Acting President Albulena Haxhiu.

He said that, as the Albanian nation, with the passing of academic Rexhep Qosja, we have lost one of the “golden pens” of Kosovo and Albania.

“The loss is great; however, I would say that everything left by academic Rexhep Qosja is an extraordinary treasure. I believe it will be especially valuable for the younger generation, which will have the opportunity to closely engage with his theses and everything he has done, but also to see him as a person who, at certain moments, had his own views on cultural and political developments both in Kosovo and in Albania. Rexhep Qosja enjoys an extraordinary reputation. This does not mean that he is not appreciated in Kosovo, but that we should somehow return his contribution to Albanian society,” he said.
