The Deputy Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ardian Gjini, expresses his conviction that in the elections of February 9, 2025, the Vetëvendosje Movement will fall from power. While criticizing the current government for weak leadership, he emphasizes that the Municipality of Gjakova has lacked support from the central level. In addition, Gjini emphasizes that the government has failed to implement several projects in some municipalities where they govern, as he says due to ignorance.
The Mayor of the Municipality of Gjakova, Ardian Gjini, in an interview for KosovaPress, talks about his candidacy as an MP and the largest projects that have been implemented during 2024 and those that are planned to be implemented within 2025.
"I am convinced that the government will change, it will not be the same government. The citizens of Kosovo, every citizen, even those who voted for Vetëvendosje with full conviction in 2021, see that something is wrong with them. Even the biggest fanatics of Vetëvendosje today know that something is wrong...Losing four years to Kosovo is a colossal failure. Kosovo's achievements in these four years are zero. If a country fails in all aspects for four years, there may be inertia," says Gjini.
