The Bishop of the Diocese of Prizren-Prishtina, Dodë Gjergji, commenting on the tense situation in the north of Mitrovica, has stated that every person must refrain oneself from the language of hatred, the use of tools that hinder freedom and peace, and above all, we must refrain from the actions of recklessness that does not lead to reconciliation but to conflict.

Gjergji made these comments during the solemn Christmas mass, which was held in the "Saint Mother Teresa" Cathedral, in Pristina. He also mentioned the representatives of the EU, who are involved in facilitating the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, saying that they should not wait for reconciliation to come by itself, but to engage more seriously and work with dedication in so as not to allow a new conflict in the region before achieving peace and reconciliation among the peoples.
