Germany will allocate €3 million in 2026 as part of its support for the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), as well as continue training programs for Kosovo cadets in line with NATO standards.

This was announced during a meeting between Germany’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Rainer Rudolph, and Defence Minister Ejup Maqedonci, where continued support through the “Enable and Enhance” initiative was highlighted.

According to a statement from the German Embassy, the funds will be used for five key projects aimed at strengthening medical services, improving logistics, and increasing firefighting capabilities within the KSF, directly contributing to operational readiness and institutional development, KosovaPress reports.

At the same time, Germany will continue its support in military training. Kosovo cadets currently undergoing language training in Germany are expected to continue officer education in line with NATO standards.

The bilateral program for 2026, according to the German official representative, also foresees numerous joint activities, including expert exchanges and training in logistics, military police, and officer education.

The embassy statement said Germany has been a reliable and key partner of the KSF and remains committed to deepening cooperation and supporting Kosovo on its path toward Euro-Atlantic integration. /KosovaPress/
