The new anti-COVID measures imposed by the Government of Kosovo are expected to enter into force tomorrow. However, the Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) does not have sufficient capacity to oversee their implementation as there are only 11 inspectors. The Ministry of Health says that the competition for the recruitment of new inspectors can be opened today or tomorrow.

FVA spokesman, Lamir Thaçi, said that with this small number of inspectors it is impossible to oversee the implementation of anti-COVID measures, adding that they have asked the Ministry of Health for another 85 inspectors in order to inspect all points where there may be a gathering of citizens.
