The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA / AUV) announces that the European Commission – Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) has issued a new notification regarding the food product Aptamil milk.
According to the FVA, following the earlier notification about the suspension of the product Aptamil AR 1, infant food, with batch number 111444865, expiration date 17.05.2026, produced by Nutricia Cuijk BV, Netherlands, and imported by UNION SH.P.K., Vushtrri, the public is informed that competent authorities in the country of origin, the Netherlands, have conducted additional retesting on the Aptamil milk product. It has been confirmed that the analyses meet food safety standards and that the Aptamil AR 1 product is considered safe for consumption and is once again allowed to be sold on the market.
“The Food and Veterinary Agency emphasizes that the temporary suspension of this product was a precautionary measure taken to protect public health,” the statement reads.The FVA continues to closely monitor the situation and cooperate with local and international institutions, as well as businesses involved in the import and production of food products, to ensure safe food that complies with European standards.
On Tuesday, the FVA announced that, through the European Commission – Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), it had received a notification concerning the Aptamil infant milk product, in which the presence of the bacterium Bacillus cereus was identified and a market withdrawal of the product was requested.
