A 19-year-old driver was severely penalized by the Ferizaj Police after being caught driving at 162 km/h in a zone where the speed limit is only 50 km/h.

According to the Regional Police in Ferizaj, the incident occurred on the evening of December 7, 2025, around 21:26, on “Brahim Ademi” Street, where officers from the Road Traffic Unit stopped the driver, O.H., who was driving a locally registered BMW X3. The speed measurement was carried out using the police’s official vehicle.

For this serious violation, he was fined 500 euros, received 5 penalty points, and was banned from driving within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo for 12 months.

The police urged all drivers to respect speed limits, emphasizing that such violations pose a serious risk to their lives and the lives of other road users. According to the police, radar checks will continue to be intensified on all roads in the region.
