Faik Rexhepi, the man from Presheva who became a symbol of resistance against the Slobodan Milosevic regime, has died.

The news was announced by his family.

“Dear family, friends and colleagues. Last night, our father Faik Rexhepi said his last goodbye. His funeral will be today, 24.02.2025 at 15:00 at the Arberia neighborhood cemetery,” the family’s announcement states.

After the death, MP Shaip Kamberi also reacted, writing on Facebook that Faik Rexhepi became a symbol of resistance against Serbian apartheid in Kosovo, leaving behind a legacy of courage and endurance.

“Today, in Prishtina, he will be given his last farewell, but his heroism and spirit will live forever,” he wrote.
