The European Integration Committee has approved two agreements with the European Union (EU) today. In its meeting, the committee gave the green light for the plenary session to ratify the agreements for the IPA 2017 and 2018 programs.

The approval of the amendments to these agreements aims to extend the implementation deadlines to ensure the successful completion of projects contracted by the EU, which have faced delays during the implementation phase.

In addition, the committee discussed its work plan for the current mandate. Committee Chair Hykmete Bajrami stated that decisions on this will be made by next week at the latest.

“We need to set a working day to establish deadlines for reviewing the draft laws and obligations we have as the European Integration Committee,” she added.

After this, the committee concluded its session.
