ERO licenses new operators for electricity supply

The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) has licensed several operators for electricity supply today.

Norwegian PX Kosovo LLC, Be Power, and Energy for Change LLC are operators that have been granted a five-year license by the ERO for electricity supply.

Meanwhile, in today’s ERO meeting, the operator Energy Development Group Kosovo LLC received a license for electricity production, while the operator LINDJA SOLAR LLC received authorization for energy production.

Regarding LINDJA SOLAR LLC, the Head of the Legal and Licensing Department at the ERO, Ymeridin Misini, stated that it is proposed to issue authorization for the construction of new generation capacities to produce electricity from solar panels with a capacity of 100 MW.

The Chairman of the ERO Board, Ymer Fejzullahu, said that this operator is among the first projects to go through competitive procedures, as required by the EU.

Also, in this meeting, the Energy Regulatory Office issued self-consumption authorizations for 50 applicants.
