Kosovo authorities have prevented the entry of 7,500 counterfeit products into the country, the Kosovo Customs announced today.

The institution said that during an inspection of a shipment presented for import through the Port of Durrës, customs officials encountered goods suspected of violating intellectual property rights.

“During the examination, a total of 7,500 items bearing the signs of a well-known trademark were identified.”

The items include phone chargers – 1,250 pieces, phone charger heads – 5,750 pieces, and Bluetooth headphones and earphones – 500 pieces.

“The goods contained two packages in which the external packaging did not indicate the brand, but upon opening, it was noticed that the packaging contained counterfeit brands,” the announcement states. /KosovaPress/
