The Government of Kosovo has decided not to allow the import of vehicles older than 10 years. Although working groups have been formed to amend the Law on Vehicles, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi, told KosovaPress that the lifting of the age limit for vehicles is out of the question. Whereas, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) days ago announced that before the the MPs going on vacation, it will initiate again the legal initiative in the Assembly to amend the Law on Vehicles, which enables the import of vehicles older than ten years. Deputy Minister Durmishi says that allowing the import of vehicles older than ten years, would affect the increase of environmental pollution in Kosovo.
