As announced by the European Judo Federation (EJU), Distria Krasniqi has been ranked first in the world judo ranking for 2023.

Distria is the star of Kosovo who continues to give her country great international successes, reports KosovaPress.

Krasniqi won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the category up to 48 kilograms.

Then, Distria started a new adventure, competing in the category up to 52 kilograms, a category which has become popular in Kosovo by Majlinda Kelmendi.

It was a fantastic start to the year for Krasniqi, adding another Grand Slam gold medal in Paris to her collection. Aside from a single 5th place finish in 2023, Krasniqi has racked up medals and achievements in all her endeavors, including having a special end.

At the inauguration of the European Championship in Kosovo, Krasniqi joined Nora Gjakova in the category up to 57 kilograms, and both ended the competition with bronze medals.
