Despite the recent increase in new cases of COVID-19 in the country, the extraordinary elections for mayor of Podujeva and North Mitrovica will not be canceled.

Due to the pandemic, in March, the elections for the mayor of Podujeva were postponed, but now the chairwoman of the Central Election Commission Valdete Daka, in an interview for KosovaPress, says that she does not believe that there will be another postponement of the elections, for these two municipalities.
