The former commander of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Deli Lekaj was among the first members of the Liberation Army, who was seriously wounded on the open front lines, but he did not stop fighting until the liberation of Kosovo.

This was said at the commemorative meeting organized by the Municipality of Deçan, on the occasion of the death of the former war veteran.

The mayor of this municipality, Bashkim Ramosaj, highly praised the contribution of Deli Lekaj and his family, for which he said that he has also contributed to the reconciliation of feuds.
