The Municipality of Decan marked Liberation Day today, when 27 years ago Serbian forces permanently withdrew from the city, reports KosovaPress.

After a solemn session held in honor of the day, the mayor of Decan, together with citizens and collaborators, continued with tributes at the graves of city heroes Mentor Tolaj, Salih Çekaj, Luan Haradinaj, and Beg Rizaj.

Tributes were also paid to the missing persons of the municipality of Decan, and later at the obelisk of martyrs Nagip Cacaj, Hima Mushkolaj, Isa Kuçi, Valdet Kuçi, and Bajram Gogaj.

The commemorations marking Decan Liberation Day concluded at the “Nation’s Martyrs” Memorial Complex in Gllogjan.

Liberation Day celebrations in Decan will end with the nationwide festival “Eshkë e ndezur mbi Shkëlzen.”
