Kosovo's Ministry of Digitalization and Public Administration has today launched the Cybersecurity Training Platform for civil servants.
Acting Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration Lulëzon Jagxhiu said the platform aims to strengthen cybersecurity.
According to him, cybersecurity requires a whole-of-society approach to protecting the country’s cyber defense.“Cyberattacks today are among the fastest-growing risks globally. International reports consistently show that attacks and credential theft continue year after year, causing billions in damages and affecting public institutions, private companies, and citizens. The training program we are launching today is aimed precisely at strengthening this human dimension of cybersecurity. The program offers both basic and practical knowledge for civil servants in general, as well as specialized modules for managers in public administration,” he said.
The Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of Luxembourg, Eric Dietz, said they remain committed to supporting Kosovo in building a secure public administration. “No digital system can be secure without skilled professionals who understand risks, protect sensitive information, and respond effectively to emerging threats. Civil servants play a central role in this effort; they are guardians of public trust and digital administration. For this reason, investment in people, skills, and knowledge is essential. In this program, Luxembourg has supported IKAP in developing an online cybersecurity training model tailored to the needs of Kosovo’s institutions and public administration, which will support all civil servants in Kosovo with practical skills to protect and strengthen data security,” he said.Leart Zogiani, who presented the platform, said it is simple and easy to use.
